MAXIMUM HAPPINESS TO MAXIMUM PEOPLE FOR MAXIMUM TIME

Activities

Grassroot activities for children, youth, and kids focus on nurturing values, skills, and confidence from an early age. These activities encourage learning through play, creativity, sports, culture, and community service. They help young minds develop leadership, teamwork, discipline, and a strong sense of social responsibility while staying connected to their roots.

Bala Vihar is a weekly gathering for children aged 5 to 12 years. Sessions are conducted at Chinmaya Mission Centres or private homes under the guidance of trained teachers.

Bala Vihar Mission Statement
To help children learn values with fun, to delight like the moon and shine like the sun.

Bala Vihar fosters the holistic well-being of children by nurturing their physical, emotional, intellectual and spiritual development through value-based learning and spiritual growth.

CHYK (Chinmaya Yuva Kendra) is the global youth wing of the Chinmaya Mission, founded by Swami Chinmayananda in 1975 for young people (ages 14-30) to empower them with Vedanta, values, and dynamic spirituality, helping them realize their inner potential through activities like study groups, camps, workshops, and service projects, all under the motto “Harnessing Youth Potential through Dynamic Spirituality”.

The Chinmaya Devi Group is an exclusive, global network within the Chinmaya Mission for women, started by Swami Chinmayananda in 1958, focusing on scriptural study (Vedanta), devotional practices, and personal application of teachings in an empowering, supportive, all-women environment, fostering self-knowledge and spiritual growth through reflection and discussion.

Chinmaya Mission Study Groups are small, regular gatherings (5-15 people) for spiritual seekers to study and reflect on Vedanta using a systematic curriculum based on Swami Chinmayananda’s teachings, fostering inner growth through shared discussion, understanding scriptures, and applying wisdom to daily life, with dedicated women’s groups called Devi Groups. These groups are a core part of the Mission, promoting mananam (reflection) to transform knowledge into wisdom.

Swaranjali is the devotional music wing of the Chinmaya Mission, established in 2003, dedicated to exploring the spiritual power of Indian classical and devotional music, viewing music as a path to Self-realization, inspired by Swami Chinmayananda’s belief that “Music is an ornamentation of Silence”. It unites music lovers and practitioners through bhajans, workshops, concerts, and recitals, transforming the art form into a meditation and a form of worship to experience the Divine within.
